She looked like she LOVED what she was wearing and it really showed!!!
The L’Oreal lady worked her way down the red-carpet and press line at the Cannes opening ceremony showing a little leg in a lovely Michael Angel dress. For a dress that could have been overwhelming for the petite starlet (sequinned bodice, addition of a belt, thigh-high slit and peplum) -- she wore it so well by keeping her makeup light & opting for a swept-up ‘do with a few perfectly placed strands of her baal.
Ugh. She looked to die for!!! Can we discuss that perfect pink ring & those pair of green earrings???
BUT. But. But out only teensy weensy minor grumble about the whole H2T look was the choice of chunky silver platform-y sandals. Meeeeh!
We already know Shahid Kapoor (oh how we wish he suited up for the event) is hosting for the first time at the Singpaore IIFAs and finally Wizcraft held a press conference to announce the lineup of performers this year which includes Neha Dhupia, Bipasha Basu and Sonakshi Sinha!!!
Slash how bangin was the Dhupes looking channeling Kimmy K in that black dress with the chunky neckpiece?! Also we’re a bit on the fence about BB’s Shehla K dress…it was very chalega types no? And is it just us or was Princess Sonakshi not looking her yoosh comfy self in that boxy LBD???

An official source just confirmed to TDH that the formal bid for Vancouver to host the 14th Annual IIFA Awards in 2013 has finally been submitted to the IIFA advisory board for review!!! But Vancity’s will really have to bring it cause they are apparently competing against places like Orlando, LA, Melbourne, Rome, Capetown and even Jamaica for the opportunity to host the IIFA awards in June 2013!!!
Eeee!!! We’ve got our fingers & toesies crossed that they snag it!!!
There were rumours that Shahid would replace Boman Irani & Riteish Deshmukh and now we have offish confirmation from the Wizcraft folks!!
Here’s what the press release says about Mr Kapoor’s amazeballs hosting gig,
“Shahid Kapoor is set to win the hearts of over 800 million viewers across the world as he hosts his first IIFA Awards, in Singapore next month. A ‘Friend of IIFA’, Shahid has previously performed at IIFA in Singapore (2004) and Amsterdam (2005). The Videocon IIFA Weekend will be hosted in the Lion City of Singapore from the 7th to the 9th of June, this year.
Known for his boy-next-door good looks and natural flair for acting, Shahid’s hosting skills laced with his very own straight-faced hilarious dialogue delivery will give the IIFAs a different look this year. While the night will have its share of the awards, glitz and glam that goes with the mega event, the host for the evening will also have celebrity co-hosts.”
Eeeee!!!! Now you have NO real excuse to not book your weekend off and fly down to our pretty city for this big Bolly show!!!!
This means Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin, Dibakar Banerjee & Prosenjit Chatterjee will ALL walk the IIFA World Premiere Green Carpet (at Shaw Theatre’s Lido) on June 7th!!!!

Momma Tanuja couldn’t make it so betis Kajol & Tanisha scooped up the Legendary award on her behalf, Big B received the Phalke Ratna, Ali Zafar snagged the Phalke New Talent award, Ekta Kapoor picked up the Phalke Icon Producer award and Mr & Missus Dilip Kumar each received the Saraswatibhai Phalke award.
Aside from the awards, we were dying for how lovingly Mr Kumar was gripping his wife’s hand throughout the night! Seriously such an iconic Bolly couple!!! We die for them!
Rani Mukherjee looks fabbu in Sabyasachi as she presented an award at the first ever Lonely Planet India awards to celebrate the best destinations across the county. She was joined by bff Karan Johar, a gorj Neha Dhupia in green Shivan-Narresh, Sonali Bendre, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ayushmann Khurana who looked ridicc pasty for some reason.
Seriously Rani of Filmidom was positively glowing at the award show! Sigh. We adore her!!!
As if our already overly bloated list of awards weren’t enough, Reliance BIG Entertainment came together with Star Plus to host an award show dedicated to “the younger generation” called the BIG Star Young Entertainer Awards and obviii invited the “young” Bolly celebs to walk the red-carpet and perform on Sunday night.
We spotted Prateik Babbar, Nargis Fakhri, Priyanka Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rekha, Riteish Deshmukh, Shazahn Padamsee, Vidyut Jamwal, Arunoday Singh, Sakshi Tanwar and a whole host of others in their questionable fashion choices at the event.
